Blessed to Know Him

Blessed beyond all understanding of man,

While I was still in sin, after me He ran,

In love He drew me to Himself by grace,

And reserved for me a heavenly place.

Rescued from an eternity without Him,

Where life would be torment with a view quite dim,

But now knowing Him, I am given life anew,

And my soul is promised a glorious view.

The glory of God I am blessed to behold!

Each day with hope I watch His plans unfold,

In darkness I would not find Him on my own,

Divine love reached out to make Himself known!
